Sourcing the Best Materials: Why Polyester and Nylon Rule the Beach and Patio

The choice of raw materials is the foundation of any high performance textile. In the world of outdoor fabric and beach pants fabric polyester and nylon have emerged as the undisputed leaders. As a manufacturer we often get asked why we prefer these synthetic fibers over natural ones like cotton or linen for exterior applications. The answer lies in the inherent physical properties of these polymers. Polyester and nylon are engineered to be strong resistant to moisture and highly adaptable to various finishing processes. Polyester is the workhorse of the outdoor furniture industry.
